Maxwell Corrigan has experience as a music therapist in the NICU at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital, providing music therapy interventions to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of neonates and parents in outpatient and inpatient settings. Primary music therapy goals in this setting include enhancing neurodevelopment, symptom management, and improving caregiver bonding. Max graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Creative Arts Therapy, including graduate training in mental health counseling and music therapy. Max is a Board Certified Music Therapist and completed specialized advanced training in NICU-music therapy (NICU-MT) through the National Institute for Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy. Max just began his new role as Clinical Research Coordinator in the Winnie Palmer Hospital NICU, and is currently the principal investigator for a NICU-music therapy study.
